The Spontaneous Spirit

The Spontaneous Spirit is a gin brand that resulted from a design competition for the studio Bulletproof. The brand embodies spontaneity, encouraging its consumers to lead a carefree lifestyle through travel and random challenges. Behind each flavour of gin is a ‘Spontaneous Story’, highlighting the adventure on which the flavour came to be. The brand predominately sells cans but does expand to ‘Savour Spontaneous’ - a gin bottle for consumers to infuse their own spontaneous flavour.

Seek Your Shoal

For D&AD New Blood 2023, I collaborated with another Graphic Design student as well as two from Creative Advertising. In order to solve Gymshark’s goal of uniting people through their love of the gym, no matter what their level of ability was, we built a ‘community’ section of their Training app and made a campaign ‘Seek Your Shoal’ to launch this. Using the sharks as a metaphor, we highlighted that whilst all are different, they are the same species.

Empower the Pain

Within UK, there is a pain bias. Our goal is to target menstrual pain specifically and the brands that subliminally enforce this. Periods shouldn’t hold you back - but they can. As period shame diminishes, companies promote campaigns that strive to empower women, highlighting that, with the right products, you can achieve anything. What these adverts fail to mention is the severe period pain that 80% of women experience at some point during their lifetime. This can be debilitating and no sanitary product will magically eradicate this pain. Empower women by empowering the pain.

The Love Hypothesis Series: Redesign

A series of work following a workshop from designer, David Pearson. As popularity in romance novels and recommendations from the ‘BookTok’ community grows, I noticed that the covers often have the same theme. Whilst depicting the genre well, I found I was often trying to hide the book in my towel on the beach, thus began a cover redesign overhaul from one of my favourite authors who’s work centres on women in STEM.
